From Stührling Original’s Sportsman’s Series, the Concorso represents what sports is all about……competition. "Concorso" means "competition;" "strada" means "road’" and supported with a racing style look of trapezoidal luminous markers and gage-style luminous hands, the flocked dial of the Strada anchors a look and feel directly from the instrument panel of a racecar! The engine that powers this sporty timepiece is a Swiss quartz engine which presents a classic three-hand arrangement for the simple time and a quick set date at the three o’clock position. The large Arabic numeral twelve as well as the hour indices have all been individually applied to the black dial. The sleek sport style Silver hour and minute hands have been treated with the same Super Luminova™ as have the hour markers in a striking Coral color. The dial has been recessed into the classic 46-millimeter round case which has been constructed of the finest grade of stainless steel, 316L. The bezel has been beveled and treated with a mirror finish like the rest of the casing and embossed with a tachymeter for measuring speed and distance. With dual ‘O" rings on the inside of the crown, the Strada allows for water resistance to 50 meters. The crystal that covers the classic face is domed and made of Krysterna™ for durability of everyday wear. On the flipside, the Strada features a solid stainless steel screwed-in case-back that has been decorated with the Stührling logo. The final accoutrement to the Strada, "where the rubber meets the road," is the black rubber strap and superb stainless steel clasp that fastens this everyday sport watch to your wrist. The 22mm wide strap boasts a tire-tread like design and the fold-over-clasp-with-double-push-button-safety for ease of release and a safety lock to prevent it from opening unnecessarily. Great watch, but flimsy band
The watch itself is wonderful. It keeps excellent time, has worn well, and is quite attractive. The plastic band didn't last 3 months before it broke. I brought a new metal band and things are as they should be.
Fathers Day Gift
This watch was a gift for fathers day. I could not wait after opening the box and looking at it. It is a substanstial watch and he really likes it so far.
Simple, nice looking, works
I have this watch for a week so far and I really like it. Fits well on any dress, the orange color inside is way bright that the picture shows. I don't think the full price (0) matches the overall quality and design but if you get the discount go for it because it's definitely a cool watch.
Reasonable value for the money
Despite some of the comments I bought this for from a gold box sale - seeing it drop to so quickly bothered me and made me wonder why there appears to be wholesale dumping of these watches but that aside, the packaging was nice when I looked at it briefly before throwing it into the garbage (seriously, it's a box - why would they waste any money on it) and it was fine for three whole weeks until the battery went flat.
The watch looks good and I found the color of the hands (which people seem to take offence at) really easy to read even from a few feet away. I had no issues with the band and basically, I thought it was a reasonable buy for the money. Now if I'd paid what they claim is the real price for it, I wouldn't be too happy.
All in all, three out of five seems about right to me.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
I gotta tell ya... this watch is everything Stuhrling says it is and MORE. I wasnt sure when I first saw it but now that I only ordered 2 (one for a gift) I truly regret not having bought a couple more.
It's a great looking casual/sports watch, and different from all the typical green luminous accent watches. It tells great time and wears like a glove... I would even buy it at the price its up for now. Last but not least wait till you see the packaging :)
